Rafael Nadal is a Spanish-born tennis player, who began his professional career in 2001. As of 2023, Nadal is ranked at No.2 in ATP rankings, and is the all-time leader of Grand Slam men's singles titles. He is regarded as the greatest clay court tennis player in history, with 62 of his 92 titles coming from clay, a 137-3 record for best-of-5-set matches, and 0 losing streaks overall. In 2022, Nadal's championship-winning performances at the Australian Open and Roland Garros saw him surpass long-time rivals and members of "The Big Three", Novak Djokovic, currently with 21 Grand Slam titles, and Roger Federer, who retired with 20 Grand Slams.

Rafael Nadal's 2023 tennis campaign is undeniably a strong pursuit for the "greatest of all-time" status, being the only current men's singles player to hold 22 Grand Slam titles. Nadal continues to hold his own in a new era of tennis, featuring a new generation of stars, led by fellow Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz.
