Inside Rugby is Australia's premier
rugby magazine.
Super men
YES they're all super men, it's just that some are more super than others!
The latest issue of Inside Rugby magazine has gone out on a limb and nominated the top 50 Super Rugby players of all time.
Inside Rugby editor Mark Cashman and Fox Sports chief Rugby caller Greg Clark got their heads together and came up with a definitive list that features the best of the best.
The criteria used by the duo was that Test form could not be taken into account, it had to be judged on form in Super Rugby and naturally enough oodles of Aussies and Kiwis landed at the top of the pile.
On top of the list was Crusaders and All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw, closely followed by his team-mate Daniel Carter. Then came a mob of Aussies in the great John Eales, Tim Horan, George Smith and that Brumbies magician Joe Roff.
Jonah Lomu, Stephen Larkham, Chris Latham and Matthew Burke rounded out the top 10.
The top 50 feature is the cover story of this very special issue, which also previews the 2009 Super 14 competition. There's stories on each of the Australian teams as well as analysis from New Zealand and South Africa.
Greg Growden from The Sydney Morning Herald also gives his take on the first year in charge of the Wallabies for new mentor Robbie Deans.
There's some great reading and some great rugby images and it's on sale now at all good newsagents nationally.
